Roughly two months have passed since Garmadon's plans, heavily influenced by the Overlord, were thwarted by Team Shinobi. Against Wu's advice, he is freed and made to join them. Team X, wary of the new threat, must still focus on their mission to uncover the mysteries behind the attack on the organization. Meanwhile, a familiar foe slips through the cracks of the Underworld, making Garmadon question everything he knows about his direct connection to the realms beneath. With signs of fate floating in the air, Wu grows increasingly anxious.
